heres a quick test of my painting abilities for an upcoming project.

took some time to try and figure out colour and getting the line and paint to interact properly.

I think it's getting there.

also when I say quick, i really mean it took a day of experimenting and about a week and a half of drawing boobs. and the project isn't so much upcoming as overdue and i should get a move on. so i will. to the Brestmobile...

creating a zine to be officially announced as soon as possible.

here is a poster for a gig the band i'm in is doing. the name is irony as we are essentially a covers band. it will be a fun evening so come along if your local.

so it's been a while. recently i've:

got a part time summer job,

been to hospital with my dad several times, hopefully he's on the mend now,

played a lot of guitar,

been on holiday for a week to clitheroe

sent emails to a few illustration agencies, to see what will come of it,

got some business cards made up,

read about 1/2 of Brahm Stokers Dracula

given out quite a few on chance encounters with local MP's, restaurant owners and friends.

and not drawn nearly enough!

and scarily began to research Postgrad Illustration courses.

i'm trying my best to rectify this over the next few weeks. My aim is to set myself some breifs, do some finished pieces, and lots and lots of sketchbook work. To tide you by, loyal fan of my drawings, heres a drawing of a part of Clitheroe Castle i did using a dip pen and a brand new bottle of Indian Ink.

soo, today i got my first grey hair, always nice at 20 years old. haha. i stuck it in my sketchbook which reminded me to upload more stuff so here it is:

just a few pages, i've got lots more stuff still, who knows when the digital world will see it.

i'm still officially working on a new website design, and frantically drawing up a childrens book for entry into a comp. All this and, playing resident evil 1, code veronica and 4 for the 3rd, 1st and millionth times because i'm really exited about the release of 5 on the 13th. yyyyyyeaaaaah. at that point the work will unfortunately stop for a few nights until it's complete and i'm happier than happy. it may effect my future but it'll be so worth it.
